On Saturday night, we finally made it to The Roebuck Inn of Mobberley. We like going out to eat come the weekends, as having cooked for people all week, and doing all the tidying up that goes with providing the service, it’s really hard to want to do it some more come Saturday eve.
We’ve not been to The Roebuck before, but it’s part of the same pub family as one of our most frequented so we had high hopes. And WOW, did they deliver or what - we had a bloody GORGEOUS evening!
But this isn’t about food, or the restaurant, this is about documenting a little further some of what I love to wear.
I read something recently about taking photos of the outfits you wear for the process of working out what you really like to wear, and of course don’t like to wear, which can only help in creating a wardrobe you truly love and also for better helping you appreciate what you have and like… so to that end, I might have a go.
*Just excuse the bad taking of said photos in the mirror yeah!*
This outfit is a real favourite of mine because I love this little tutu-inspired skirt. It has a zipped waist, which for me is ALWAYS the way to go, and it’s beautifully light to wear, despite the three layers of skirt. I paired this skirt with a simple black body, which is a BIT on the TOO boobs-out scale usually but given that I was out for date night with my wife I didn’t think it was a bad time for a little extra cleavage than normal!
And finally, I was going out somewhere that I didn’t have to take much stuff with me – just phone, cash and lipstick so I had an opportunity to take my little birthday bag out with me! I had looked at this bright red lips clutch every time I went into the outlet Lulu Guiness store near us so I was pretty chuffed with my surprise extra birthday gift!
My Saturday date night outfit was finished up simple with a big coat thrown on top, a fur trim scarf, and black ballet pumps. I've always loved dressing up! Can you tell?!
