The sun shone when we were in Stratford-upon-Avon for the night a few weekends back and it felt blissful to break away from the tight-cladded legs feel at such an early opportunity in the year. I'm not usually that fussed about breaking away from the opaques, I'm a fan (!!), but this year, maybe with a better stash of midi length frocks and skirts ready to get out at a sun beams notice, I feel I might go bare legged a little more often!
This black pleated midi is a definite staple in my wardrobe, I've had it for a good few years, and I've worn it through winter with jumpers and big coats, and through summer with just a vest and bare arms. This skirt has been on most of my recent holidays as it rolls up well and makes a great easy outfit with most top half items.
I haven't paired it often with a simple t-shirt, but I packed so minimally for our one night stint away, that I couldn't resist this combination. This duo of simple monochrome spots, and black pleated midi, made for an easy day two outfit for exploring a little of Warwick town centre, and soaking up some of that gorgeous sunshine!
This, above, is not my door, it's one of the gated doors to the Warwick Castle are, but you know, we can all pretend right?!
Does anyone else dream of summer and getting the bare legs back out? Or, like me, do you favour tights and find it a strange going totally bare legged?
This year, I'm going to note-to-self this note, bare legs are OK! Do it more often, it feels good!
