If you’re new to this page, and want to know what I mean by [MY] PROJECT SEPTEMBER, have a quick scoot over to yesterday’s post to find out the challenge that I’ve set myself.
I thought I’d do a quick post early on laying out what I have done in the run up to my challenge of going from a big old total of zero posts in the last two and a half months (!!!), to my goal to write 30 posts this month.
Well, I have done nothing, much.
There isn’t a back log of drafts ready to go. Actually, there are no drafts at all.
There are no prepped photos, so expect many random, and crappy, photo to title to writing combos.
And there is no plan of when I’m exactly going to carve the time to write suddenly this month.
But that is exactly what this 30 day challenge I’ve self-set myself is for. To see if I can, just, y’know get my bloody arse in the seat and do the thing I really wanna do and get involved in the blog writing world.
What I have done?
On August 30th I opened a new word doc file and typed out ANY post titles I could think of and split them into broad categories.
They came out in the following order of categories mainly, to which I went back and filtered in extras as they came to me. I came up with:
Travel, beauty, plants, fashion, our wedding, our café, where I’ve been eating, random life things/what I’ve been doing, my favourite writers/bloggers, home.
So, that’s my caveat to expect a MIX of any, or all, of the above broad categories. In some categories I have 10+ ideas of post titles; in others under 5. What I’m getting at though is there are ideas in my head, if only I will allow them to tumble out, I hopefully can succeed in my challenge!
I have no idea at this moment which of the post titles/categories I’m more drawn to actually penning into something… but I feel that the point of my doing this is partly to later draw on that, to reflect later on which of the categories I naturally ear towards, and therefore maybe enjoy more?!
I’m expecting time restraints/time management will play a major part in how the challenge pans out… some posts may NEED to be quite a lot snappier, however I’m also highly aware that concise writing is NOT a skill of mine.
I have a few fixed plans away this month, and some significant birthdays being celebrated, so that too will play a part in me trying to get ahead, and plan my time… but it will also give me that much needed fun to inspire and drive me!
Once again, wish me luck!
