I mentioned in another post earlier this month how much I had enjoyed reading The Curated Closet book. Its immediate purpose for me, was that it inspired me to do something I'd never thought to do before and hit up the likes of Pinterest and good old Instagram accounts I love and compile a sort of fashion wish list.
That involved firstly working out what I wanted to even search for - what were my go to choices and fashion items to search out to start with - and from there pinning outfits I loved, and then going further and delving further into those areas.
It didn't make me want to go shopping exactly, but, I'm certainly on the hunt for a few specific items now... just off the top of my head a red full skirt, a big blanket scarf, some leopard-y accessories and, a basic, great quality, crew neck, long sleeved black top!
A simple crew neck, long sleeved, black top... sounds easy enough to find right?
No... unfortunately, not right!
I have a whole heap of skirts and dresses I'd love to wear with this item, but I'm not just buying quickly on this one! Because, I'm prioritising quality for my basics, as I'm keen to add to my wardrobe in a purely positive way going forward, but in the high street sort of immediately available for me to search within, I've certainly not found anything yet!
So online might be the way to go, but I think it might be one of those things I need to order from a few places and in a few sizes and then just deal with returning a vast amount when I've finally found *the one*.
Anyone else ever been on the hunt for perfect cotton basics PLEASE hit me up with your shop suggestions!
