THINGS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO WEARING AGAIN INTO A/W

I realise it is only the 6th of September. But, it is September! My IG feed is going crazy for autumn already and my FB is filled with kids off to school. The nights are indeed drawing in, and the flip flops I wear religiously for work through summer are soon going to be a little too flimsy to wear.

I like all the seasons for different reasons I guess, but I really do love this stretch through til Christmas coming up. It's Gem's birthday in a few weeks, and mine is early November. Autumn is a lovely season to work as there is nothing people want more than to escape the cold into our warm cafe with a mega hot chocolate list! And then, there's Christmas on the horizon...

And, beyond all that fun stuff, I feel this is the season I love dressing in the most.

So without further ado, here's the items I'm really looking forward to wearing again all through A/W!

THE WEDNESDAY DRESS

A simple midi sleeved, just above the knee length, black ribbed dress, with a crochet lace collar.

I love this dress so much, but the sleeves and fairly thick material make it a little too warm through the warmer months, and the length is one I'm much more comfortable wearing with tights.

Bring back this frock, tights, ankle boots and I'm all set for any weekend activity!

MID THIGH CAMEL COAT AND FAUX FUR SCARVES

I bought this coat last autumn and wore it obsessively. I don't think this country gets mega cold often, so teamed with a one of my two faux fur scarves it was warm enough for nice days out.

Biggest smile on this photo because it was taken in November on my 30th birthday, I was waiting for the train for a totally fun day out, I'd been totally spoilt that morning and Gemma had surprised me that morning, with a surprise extra present... this fricking awesome Lulu Guinness lips clutch!

LEATHER JACKET AND ALL BLACK

I admit, the leather jacket has been my go-to light jacket through spring and summer, but I'm sure it'll be worn a lot more often through autumn. Also, I'm not saying I haven't worn a beloved all black combo through the last 6 months, but I embrace even more into A/W.

COCKTAIL TIME JUMPER

If both mine and Gemma's birthday, plus the impending festive season doesn't cry out for more wears of this jumper I don't know what does! It isn't an amazing quality jumper, but the material is surprisingly super-soft and the sleeve length is lovely!

I'm not actually a huge fan of it with jeans as pictured here... to be fair, I'm not a huge fan of jeans full stop on myself, but how about with a skirt and some cute flats?

RED COAT, BLACK HAT, BLACK BOOTS AND WHITE DRESS

I really love this outfit. I actually did a whole post on it here, earlier this year.

The coat is years old, very warm and perfect for proper cold days. The hat is a couple of years old but has not had the outings it deserves as I'm not very good at wearing my hair down to then wear it - maybe now my hair is shorter I will be.

And a white lace dress and black chelsea boots - what's not to be loved about that combo?

SEQUINS AND TULLE

Excuse the even crapper quality photo on this one, and the messy spare room background, but it seems this favoured combo I wore so often last winter for party nights out and Christmas days, didn't get a more decent photo! I must have been enjoying myself too much ;)

This sequin top is very short so I wear it tucked in, and this black tulle beaded tutu is the PERFECT piece to wear with it!

I really love getting mega dressed up, even if it's just festive nights with friends at home!
